BookOrbit Android is a client app for BookOrbit, a self-hosted digital library server. This policy explains how the app handles your data.
BookOrbit is not a hosted service operated by the developer. When you use this app, you connect it to a BookOrbit server that you (or someone you trust) run and control — the app does not talk to any server operated by the developer. All data described below is sent only to the server address you configure, and is stored there under your control, not by the developer or any third party.
EncryptedSharedPreferences) and are sent only to that server. The app requests network access (to reach your server), notification and foreground-service permissions (to show playback controls and continue audiobook playback in the background), and wake-lock (to keep audio playing while the screen is off). None of these are used to collect data beyond what's described above.
Because your data lives on your own server, you can delete it there at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all locally cached data and downloaded files from your device.
